MF Utilities (mfuonline.com) is a shared services platform set up by the fund houses themselves. Investors get a Common Account Number (CAN) that links their folios across the fund houses on it.
Opening a CAN
- Choose to open an eCAN on the MF Utilities website.
- Enter your PAN and KYC details, bank account, contact details and nominee.
- Submit and verify. The CAN is usually ready within a few working days.
Investing
- Sign in to MFU Online with your CAN.
- Pick the fund house and scheme, the plan and the option.
- Pay by net banking, UPI or a registered bank mandate. SIPs, switches and redemptions are done the same way.
What to know
